World Animal Day (WAD) Great and small, love them all.

Updated: Sep 29, 2023

World Animal Day (WAD) is celebrated every year on October 4th and unites the animal welfare movement, mobilizing it into a global force to make the world a better place for all animals. This year’s theme was “Great or Small, Love Them All”, and it intends to bring to light the importance of all beings, great and small, allowing the opportunity for even the most overlooked animals to be appreciated for what, and who they are.

Get ready to pounce! In honour of WAD, we want to hear your wildest, most unforgettable wildlife tales. Let's spread the love and share these epic animal encounters with the world. We'll pick a few gems for each critter category and feature them here, on our blog. So, get typing and let's give these creatures the shout-out they deserve! Email us at admin@calgarywildlife.org and use subject line WAD story.
